Shells of Afterimages (Hüllen von Nachbildern)

Irregular curves interweave across a paper-thin, translucent surface. The work stems from a radical question: what if an afterimage—that fleeting electrical phenomenon without fixed form or volume—were to possess a three-dimensional existence beyond the closed eye? Yet, like every fleeting moment, the afterimage ultimately eludes capture; what remains is not the phenomenon itself, but its material shell and the traces of a perception reaching toward what has already disappeared.
