Finely cut translucent papers, their forms reminiscent of brushstrokes, appear to catch and overlap seemingly at random on the light table. Inspired by the fleeting particles of afterimages that emerge in the inner field of vision when the eyes are closed, these paper fragments give material form to an otherwise invisible phenomenon.

In the light of the table, the colors of the translucent layers emerge with immediate intensity. This visual experience evokes the memory of the childlike gaze with which we once explored the luminous primary colors of a cathode-ray tube—a moment in which the physical world of light becomes intertwined with our inner perception.
